An existing formulation is one already in our range or a standard formula we can produce without development work. A new formulation needs development and validation, so the run has to cover it. Packaging print runs carry their own minimums and are confirmed separately. Unit pricing depends on actives, pack and batch size, so we quote it in writing at the feasibility stage rather than publishing a figure we would have to caveat into uselessness. 3,000 units per SKU for an existing formulation and 10,000 for a new one, across tablets, chewables, capsules, soft gels and sachets. For a brand launching three SKUs, that is 9,000 units in total rather than the 15,000–30,000 a 5,000-unit floor would demand.

Yes. Prenatal compositions and their advisory wording get a compliance review before artwork, because this is the category where claim wording most often crosses from supplement into drug territory. We will tell you if a claim you want is not defensible.
It is a tolerability-versus-cost decision. Ferrous salts are cheapest but cause the most gastric complaints, which drives people to stop taking the product. Iron bisglycinate and carbonyl iron are gentler and cost more. For a daily women's range where repeat purchase is the whole business, the gentler salt usually pays for itself.
