Third-party manufacturing for bone and joint ranges — calcium with D3 and K2-7, magnesium, and anti-inflammatory botanicals. From 3,000 units per SKU, made under WHO-GMP in Ahmedabad.
Calcium is the easy part. D3 drives absorption and K2-7 directs the calcium to bone rather than soft tissue — which is why the three-active tablet has become the category standard.
Magnesium, zinc and boron alongside calcium. Mineral blends are bulky, so tablet size and swallowability become a formulation constraint rather than an afterthought.
Curcumin with piperine, boswellia, glucosamine and collagen peptides — the joint-comfort side of the category, in capsules, tablets or sachets.
Most manufacturers make you email before they will tell you their minimum. Here is ours, so you can judge fit before you spend a call on it.
| Formulation | MOQ per SKU |
|---|---|
| Existing formulation | 3,000 units |
| New / custom formulation | 10,000 units |
An existing formulation is one already in our range or a standard formula we can produce without development work. A new formulation needs development and validation, so the run has to cover it. Packaging print runs carry their own minimums and are confirmed separately. Unit pricing depends on actives, pack and batch size, so we quote it in writing at the feasibility stage rather than publishing a figure we would have to caveat into uselessness. See the full MOQ table for every dosage form.
| Calcium sources | Calcium carbonate (highest elemental content, needs stomach acid) or calcium citrate (gentler, absorbed without it) — the choice depends on your target age group |
|---|---|
| Vitamin D3 & K2-7 | D3 for absorption, K2-7 (menaquinone-7) to direct calcium to bone. K2-7 is moisture-sensitive and drives the pack choice |
| Minerals | Magnesium, zinc, boron, manganese |
| Joint actives | Curcumin with piperine, boswellia, glucosamine, chondroitin, collagen peptides |
| Dosage forms | Tablets (the category default, given the dose), capsules, and sachets where the dose is too large to compress |
Every batch is released against a written specification and shipped with a Certificate of Analysis listing each test, its limit and the actual result.
| Test | What it confirms |
|---|---|
| Assay of elemental calcium | Elemental calcium, not the weight of the calcium salt — the number that must be on the label and the one most often misstated |
| Assay of D3 and K2-7 | Both are present at claim, and both are the actives most prone to degrading over shelf life |
| Disintegration & dissolution | A large mineral tablet actually breaks up and releases rather than passing through intact |
| Hardness & friability | Mineral tablets are bulky and brittle; this is where a poorly formulated one fails in the blister |
| % RDA per ICMR-NIN 2020 | Indian RDA figures for every declared nutrient |
| Heavy metals | Lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury. Mineral sources are a known heavy-metal risk and this test is not optional |
| Microbial limits | Per pharmacopoeia and FSSAI contaminant limits |
3,000 units per SKU for an existing formulation and 10,000 for a new one. Mineral tablets are bulky, so packing and shipping cost more per unit than a small tablet — the MOQ is the same, but factor the freight into your landed cost.
D3 increases how much calcium is absorbed; K2-7 influences where it ends up. Without it, more absorbed calcium does not automatically mean more calcium in bone. It is also the most expensive and most moisture-sensitive active in the formulation, which is why some competitors quietly leave it out or under-dose it — check the assay on the COA, not the front of the pack.
Carbonate carries the most elemental calcium per tablet and costs least, but needs stomach acid to absorb, which makes it a poor choice for older users and anyone on acid-reducing medication. Citrate absorbs without it and is gentler, but you need a bigger tablet for the same dose. Pick by who is actually taking it.
Yes. Collagen peptides and glucosamine dose far too high to compress into a reasonable tablet, which is why the category uses sachets — our MOQ for sachets is 3,000, quoted in units rather than kilograms of blend.
This is a category we manufacture for ourselves, not one we are describing from a brochure. Every batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis listing each test, its limit and the result.
