Vitakyn Calcium with Vitamin D3 is a mint-flavoured vegetarian tablet built around 1000 mg calcium citrate (250 mg elemental calcium) and the cofactors that determine whether calcium is absorbed and deposited in bone: 200 IU vitamin D3 for absorption from the gut, 55 mcg vitamin K2-7 (100% RDA) to direct calcium into bone rather than soft tissue, 100 mg magnesium and 4 mg zinc for bone mineralisation, and 1 mcg vitamin B12. Calcium citrate was chosen because it is absorbed with or without food and is gentler on the stomach than carbonate. Manufactured under WHO-GMP and FSSAI standards in Ahmedabad, pack of 60.
