Two-piece hard-shell capsules in gelatin or vegetarian HPMC, filled with powder, pellets or granules — from 3,000 units per SKU at our WHO-GMP facility in Ahmedabad.
Hard gelatin capsules, and vegetarian HPMC shells for vegan, Jain and export ranges where bovine or porcine gelatin is not acceptable. The shell choice is yours and it is stated on the label.
Straight powder blends, coated pellets for delayed or sustained release, and granule fills where flow or stability demands it.
Capsules suit botanical extracts that are difficult to compress or taste unacceptable in a tablet — curcumin, ashwagandha, green tea and similar standardised extracts.
Most manufacturers make you email before they will tell you their minimum. Here is ours, so you can judge fit before you spend a call on it.
| Formulation | MOQ per SKU |
|---|---|
| Existing formulation | 3,000 units |
| New / custom formulation | 10,000 units |
An existing formulation is one already in our range or a standard formula we can produce without development work. A new formulation needs development and validation, so the run has to cover it. Packaging print runs carry their own minimums and are confirmed separately. Unit pricing depends on actives, pack and batch size, so we quote it in writing at the feasibility stage rather than publishing a figure we would have to caveat into uselessness. See the full MOQ table for every dosage form.

| Test | What it confirms |
|---|---|
| Description | Shell colour, size, printing and locking match the approved standard |
| Average fill weight & variation | Each capsule carries the intended dose |
| Disintegration | The shell opens and releases within the specified time |
| Assay of actives | Content of each declared active against label claim |
| Loss on drying / moisture | Water content, which drives shell brittleness and stability |
| Microbial limits | Total counts and absence of pathogens, per pharmacopoeia and FSSAI |
| Heavy metals | Lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury — particularly for botanicals |
3,000 capsules per SKU for an existing formulation and 10,000 for a new one. Packaging print runs are confirmed separately, because printed cartons and labels frequently have minimum runs larger than a first batch.
Yes. HPMC shells are plant-derived and suit vegan, Jain and export ranges where gelatin is not acceptable. The shell material is declared on the label, so the claim is verifiable rather than implied.
Yes, via coated pellets filled into the capsule. This is formulation work rather than a stock option, so it falls under the 10,000-unit new-formulation MOQ and needs stability data before a shelf life is assigned.
Gelatin is cheaper and well understood. HPMC costs more but opens vegetarian, vegan and several export markets, and is more stable at low moisture. If your brand positioning mentions plant-based or vegetarian anywhere, choose HPMC — a gelatin shell contradicts it on the label.
