An existing formulation is one already in our range or a standard formula we can produce without development work. A new formulation needs development and validation, so the run has to cover it. Packaging print runs carry their own minimums and are confirmed separately. Unit pricing depends on actives, pack and batch size, so we quote it in writing at the feasibility stage rather than publishing a figure we would have to caveat into uselessness. 3,000 sachets per SKU for an existing formulation and 10,000 for a new one. We quote sachets in units, not kilograms of blend. That matters: much of the Indian market quotes a 100–500 kg blend floor, which for a 3 g sachet is 33,000 to 167,000 units — an order of magnitude above ours.
Stick packs suit daily single doses up to roughly 5 g and are easier to carry and tear. Pillow packs handle larger fills and cost less per unit. If your product is a daily regimen, the stick pack usually wins on compliance; if it is a bulk scoop replacement, the pillow pack wins on cost.
Yes. Granules are tasted directly rather than swallowed whole, so flavour is not cosmetic — it decides whether anyone finishes the pack. We profile taste and mouthfeel at the pilot stage and you approve samples before commercial production.
Yes. Effervescent blends need controlled humidity during manufacture and a high-barrier laminate, so tell us at the brief stage. This is formulation work and falls under the new-formulation MOQ.
